The Spectro FluidScan 1000 (FLSC1000) is a handheld mid-infrared lubricant condition monitor that provides direct, quantitative, on-site measurement of lubricant and grease condition and contamination. The device uses patented Direct Infrared Spectroscopy (DIR) and a flip-top oil cell to deliver reagentless analysis from a single drop of oil, enabling rapid detection of water, oxidation, nitration, sulfation, soot, TAN/TBN and other fluid parameters. The product offering described includes a FluidScan standard accessories (SA) kit and an upgradeable full fluid library license for military and maritime applications, including documented use by the United States Coast Guard.
