The FluidScan 1210 is a handheld infrared analyzer designed to measure Base Number (BN) of marine cylinder lubrication oil for two-stroke marine engines. It provides direct, quantitative BN results in under one minute using a small oil sample, enabling shipboard engineers to monitor residual cylinder oil BN at inlet and drain locations and adjust cylinder lubrication feed rates to control corrosion and lubrication-related wear.
