Puriflash C18 columns with 5 µm particle size, Size 150 x 4.6 mm AQ - Stable in 100% aqueous mobile phase for mid and non-polar compounds An Advion Interchim Scientific prep column will operate at lower pressure which translates into longer column life. The lower pressure is attributed to the removal of fines (<1 µ diameter silica particles). The presence of fines in the column will gradually migrate to the outlet frit where they are trapped and cause pressure build up. Fines are removed from the bonded silica prior to packing the column. Compared to other manufacturers’ prep columns, an Interchim column will typically exhibit 30 – 40% lower pressure. In each of the applications pressure never exceeded 30 bar/435 PSI.
